**VACANCY: Legal Secretary/ Compliance Officer, Cape Town (EE)**

A leading JSE-listed company seeks a methodical, results-driven Compliance Secretary to support the Group Company Secretary in delivering high-quality corporate governance and secretarial services across its group entities. This role demands board-level engagement, precision, and a strong grasp of regulatory frameworks for a JSE listed company.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Assist in planning and coordinating board, sub-committee, and subsidiary meetings (listed and unlisted).
- Draft and manage minutes, resolutions, board packs, and statutory filings.
- Maintain statutory records and ensure compliance with Companies Act, Trust Property Control Act, and JSE listing requirements.
- Liaise with auditors, CIPC, and share registries; manage shareholder queries and website governance content.
- Track legislative changes and support governance advisory to board and management.
- Lead or support secretarial projects, training sessions, and audit requests.
- Ensure timely execution of board actions, filings, and meeting logistics.

**Qualifications & Experience**:

- Paralegal, LLB, or Admitted Attorney (CGISA qualification advantageous).
- 3-5 years' experience in corporate secretarial or legal compliance roles.
- Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Deep understanding of company law, King IV, and JSE regulations.
- Attention to detail, emotional intelligence, and stakeholder engagement skills.
