**Job Title**: Litigation Lawyer

**Job Brief**

Urang Property Management oversees more than 400 residential and commercial blocks throughout London and is continually expanding due to referrals from satisfied clients and lessees. We also provide property management services for landlords renting out their properties. Our extensive experience has enabled us to establish top-notch quality control systems, ensuring we are swift, flexible, and responsive. This allows us to seamlessly handle new instructions of any size, guaranteeing our clients receive the highest level of professionalism from the outset.

We are seeking a Litigation Lawyer to join our London-based team, working closely with our finance department, external solicitors, and counsel. This role reports to the Business Accountant and focuses on effectively resolving disputes with clients, contractors, or suppliers. This role is ideal for someone experienced in remote working and who lives within an easy commute to Stellenbosch, Cape Town.

**Responsibilities**
- Manage debt recovery litigation, including initiating court proceedings and enforcing judgments
- Provide legal advice on all aspects of commercial debt collection
- Investigate and respond to claims
- Collaborate with internal business clients and external professionals, including solicitors and counsel
- Draft legal documents
- Conduct case management and preliminary hearings
- Perform other duties of a similar nature as required

**Requirements**:

- Qualified English lawyer (solicitor or barrister) with at least [3] years of post-qualification experience
- Extensive experience in general commercial litigation and property management
- Previous in-house experience is advantageous but not essential
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to handle multiple matters and meet tight deadlines
- Proven capability in providing effective legal advice in complex cases
- Excellent communication and technical skills
- Demonstrated ability to implement and deliver complex solutions consistent with evolving policies and procedures
- Experience in a remote working environment
- Resides within an easy commute to Stellenbosch, Cape Town

**Working Hours**: 09:00 to 18:00, Monday - Friday
**Salary**: R30,000 to R35,000 per month (depending on experience)
**Contract**: Permanent
