The successful incumbent will be highly motivated and willing to make a significant contribution to the development of the Faculty. He/ She will be responsible for the following key performance areas:

- Facilitate learning and teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate levels in the fields of Information Technology (IT) Education, Computer Assisted Technology (CAT) Education and related fields
- Conduct research and publish in the fields of Information Technology (IT) Education, Computer Assisted Technology (CAT) Education and related fields
- Supervise undergraduate and postgraduate studies
- Construct a coherent research agenda consistent with the broad research goals of the Business Science Education Cluster in the Faculty of Education
- Take an active role in curriculum design and renewal
- Provide administrative and academic support by serving on committees devoted to the development of the Business Science Education Cluster and faculty objectives
- Participate in community engagement activities of the Business Science Education Cluster
- Promote and support research activities in the department

**Minimum Requirements**
- A MEd or related Masters degree in the field of Information Technology (IT) Education or Computer Science Education.
- A qualification with Computer Science 2 or Information Systems 2

**Recommended criteria**:

- A relevant PHD in education or evidence of substantial progress towards completion of a relevant PHD-
