**Key Responsibilities**:
**Payroll**:

- Oversee and operate the company’s payrolls in compliance with legislation, tax laws, audit control frameworks, and group policies.
- Produce accurate and timely reporting of all data as required by the business.
- Monthly submission of EMP201’s and preparation of IRP5 reconciliation.
- Ensure payroll staff are trained on new updates, including legislation, systems, and processes.
- Provide advisory services to HR and management regarding payroll processes, requirements, and queries.
- Process ad-hoc deductions accurately.
- Conduct statistical analysis of remuneration for the Group.
- Assist with annual submissions such as Employment Equity, BEE, SDL, and COIDA.
- Handle Department of Labour Audits.

**Payroll Systems**:

- Experience with Dbit and Pastel Payroll.

**Financial**:

- Oversee purchase ledger activities.
- Control and verify all bank payments.
- Handle journals for weekly and monthly payrolls.
- Oversee the debtors ledger, posting weekly transactions, and monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
- Prepare quotes and manage monthly rentals for properties, tracking payment records.
- Reconcile PAYE and VAT on a monthly basis.
- Manage and reconcile petty cash.
- Provide monthly reporting of turnover and costs for commission calculation.
- Submit quarterly statistical information and monthly management packs.
- Prepare for the annual audit.

**Accounting Systems**:

- Proficiency in Pastel Partner.

**Extra Requirements**:

- Hands-on role with a proactive attitude towards both small and large tasks.
- Constantly improve controls and procedures.
- Build strong working relationships with internal and external customers.
- Willingness to assist in other group companies when needed.

**Qualifications and Experience**:

- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Professional qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA) is highly desirable.
- Proven experience as a Financial Controller or similar role.
- In-depth knowledge of payroll processes and financial regulations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Cape Town, Western Cape: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
