Assistant Project Manager

+ Attend regular safety meetings, ensure messages conveyed to the operational staff and contractors, manage the safety messages into the projects and audit to give confidence that the safety is being implemented in accordance with client and AECOM HSSE processes and procedures. Feedback safety learning’s into the Safety Manager to provide continuous learning for the whole team. Provide safety training for operational staff and look for opportunities to give training to the supply chain.
+ Member of Project Managers Delivery Team charged with delivering projects to time, cost and quality standards. Lead Project Meetings to deliver all the stages of project development; delivery and close out, for example, scoping visits; design reviews; post tender meetings; cost plan reviews; pre-start meetings; regular site progress meetings; high quality handovers; financial close meetings; and safety audits.
+ For Dealer projects, ensure compliance to all brand standards while giving the solutions sufficient flexibility to meet the needs of the dealer business.
+ Management of supply chain partners will form a large part of this role; ensuring that they perform to required and agreed project execution plans to meet the clients desired outcome. Ensure that work is delivered within the agreed values of AECOM and the client.
+ Manages one or more moderately complex project, involving a combination of the following:
+ Clients with a regional geographic footprint; OR,
+ Projects involving multiple services provided by regional IE offices; OR,
+ Other complexities, such as projects that involve litigation, environmental protection, due diligence, etc.
+ May manage all phases of projects (from beginning to close out).
+ Works mostly independently but receives basic instruction on specific assignments, objectives, complex features and possible solutions.
+ Receives technical guidance on unusual or complex problems and supervisory approval on proposed plans for projects.
**+ May supervise**: senior level engineers (all disciplines applicable), as well as project administration, project controls, scheduling, cost control, estimating and procurement representatives.
Minimum Requirements
+ 5-7 years of relevant project management experience.
**Preferred skills**:
+ A leader in compliance and ethics
+ Previous experience with retail fuel upgrades or shop fit outs is essential.
+ HSSE Leadership
+ Confident and capable individual with strong client focus
+ Recognised construction or design qualification (or similar experience)
+ Experienced in managing a diverse operational team
+ Strong track record in delivering projects in a fast moving and challenging environment
+ Ability to work under pressure and to tight dead-lines
+ Good grasp of IT, particularly Excel and Word
+ Driving Licence
Preferred Qualifications
+ Construction Management / Engineering Degree
+ With Pr. CPM registration in progress or achieved
