**Purpose of role**:
To manage credit process for customers including opening of accounts, vetting of customers, allocating payments and collecting monies.Conduct customer vetting with credit bureaus for new accounts. Review any other disclosures made by customers and ensure relevant statutory requirements have been met before sending account to Credit Manager for authorisation.

**Main responsibilities**:

- Liaise with credit bureau to conduct customer vetting on new accounts
- Review any other disclosures made by customer and ensure relevant statutory requirements have been complied with before sending account to National Credit Manager for authorisation
- Ensure appropriate feedback is given to customer/sales on decision to open an account
- Recommend appropriate credit limit to be assigned to account
- Sending monthly statements to customers
- Allocating payments to customer accounts and remittances
- Contacting customers with overdue account balances and following agreed credit lifecycle in terms of notices sent to customers, placing accounts on-hold and handing over for legal recovery where required
- Deal with ad hoc customer queries
- Monitor orders placed on On-Hold accounts and recommend appropriate action
- Obtain authorisation for refunds and financial credits from National Credit Manager where customer requires such on their accounts
- Daily payment allocations with customer remittance advices

- Assist with Ad hoc tasks as required by the National Credit Manager

**Essential requirements**:

- Matric (Grade 12)
- Credit management / finance qualification
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills
- Customer service focused
- Excellent account reconciliation skills
- Ability to work under pressure
- A minimum of +5 years experience in a similar role

**Beneficial requirements**:

- Previous experience with Google suite software package
- Previous experience in the electrical engineering industry
