**Location**: Isando, Johannesburg
**Salary**: R900 k - R1.5 mil pa (depending on experience and qualifications)
**Reporting to**: Executive: Strategy and Customer Support
**Core purpose of the role**: To strategically grow the business and improve its competitive advantage by building appropriate, innovative and customer-centric solutions and value added products.
**Academic qualifications**
- Grade 12/Matric/equivalent
- Relevant tertiary qualification
**Work experience**
- 5+ years Solutions development experience
- Cross-functional working experience
- 5+ years Senior Management experience
- Stakeholder engagement (including influencing and negotiating at various levels)
- Automotive industry experience (Advantage)

**Key deliverables and outputs**
Strategic/Financial
- Clearly articulate the product offering of all divisions with the aim of consolidating the unique selling proposition of the Group.
- Work closely with internal business in order to enhance current business activities to maximise results.
- Ensure the development and implementation of clear and coherent strategies for the generation of additional revenue generating opportunities from existing customer as well as by exploring untapped markets and industries.
- Gather intelligence on industry/market trends to equip the organisation with an understanding of the competitive landscape and to position it for increased effectiveness in winning new business and retention of existing ones.
- Identify the need for innovative product offerings as well as ensure prioritisation of resources (i.e. budgetary, systems, people, etc.) required for delivery in line with the profitability of the product / solution.
- Ensure that all solutions developed/implemented improve revenue and business profitability by a set target (financial/growth target).
- Evaluate and review the use of VAPs in providing effective and customisable customer solutions in order to improve the profitability of the organisation.
- Set annual sales targets per VAP, monitor performance against the targets on a monthly basis and provide feedback and reports on VAPs sales targets.
**Operational**
- Create and foster a business development culture which embraces innovation, strategic, proactive and client-centric approach in identifying, actively pursuing and closing new business opportunities.
- Improve productivity across internal stakeholders to ensure focus on priorities.
- Continuously encourage and support improved business processes to respond to changes in market conditions.
- Ensure the provision of accurate and timeous reporting to the relevant stakeholders in the business.
