**Competencies (**knowledge/skills)**:
Knowledge of the Tube distribution service.

Ability to communicate (verbal and written) in at least two of the three official languages of the Western Cape.

**Duties (key result areas/outputs)**:
Responsible for the operational function of the Pneumatic Tube System, the dispatch of tubes and telephonic queries/requests.

Responsible for reporting defective specimens.

Responsible for transporting specimens from various wards to various laboratories.

Responsible for receipt/dispatch of specimens, postal forms, medical reports and other related documents.
