Account Manager

We’re looking for an Account Manager to develop long-term relationships with a portfolio of clients and ensure GP successfully and profitably delivers its contractual obligations and customer satisfaction.
This role can be undertaken on a Hybrid basis, with travel to the client and GP Strategies sites.
**What we do**
**Client Account Management**
- Manage Client Accounts/ Programmes
- Ensure timeous delivery of agreed KPIs
- Control budget, revenue, cost, and profitability
- Implement and maintain account governance, in line with GP Strategies guidelines
- Responsible for building the client relationship
- Familiarise oneself with the client’s strategic business objectives
- Develop a business strategy in collaboration with the client to achieve business objectives
- Implement measurable deliverables
- Maintain feedback and reporting on progress against agreed objectives
- Provide insights and suggestions for improvement and value add
- Ensure open and transparent communication throughout the engagement
- Professionally represent GP Strategies Corporation through engagement at all business stakeholder levels
- Interpret and respond to ad-hoc project briefs
- Prepare and cost responses to project requests
- Obtain approval through GP Strategies Approval Processes
- Present response to client
- Implement and execute on plan (within quality, cost, and time parameters, using internal and external resources) Manage monthly reporting to include P&L
- Prepare business review documents for monthly reviews

Consultancy Services to clients
- Consult on Solutions and innovations for service delivery
- Keeping abreast of industry trends and engaging new ideas with the client
- Understanding GP Strategies Global Business Solutions to align with possible client business imperatives
- Business Development within the Account
- Develop a regional Business Development Strategy for the client
- Identify and develop strategic relationships with key stakeholders within the OEM in order to create broader awareness of GP Strategies capabilities
- Meet personal quota targets for new business within the client space within the region
- Provide monthly updates on new opportunities and targets.
- Lead response to tenders, in consultation with the GP Strategies Corporation Country Manager as applicable and contribute proactively to team and overall business targets.
- Provide input to and maintain client data with a specific focus on South African clients and prospects.
**Knowledge, Skills & Experience Required**
- Related qualification (General BA Degree)
- Managed Learning Services and Consultancy related experience would be beneficial
- At least 5 years’ experience in a senior client services role, with a deep understanding of training, assessment, and coaching methodologies
- Automotive experience is a prerequisite
- Credible with an ability to provide sound learning consultancy advice to clients.
- Strong project management skills with an eye for detail and quality
- Excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Energetic and innovative with a genuine enthusiasm for people development.
- Knowledge of Learning and Development Value Chain
- Fluent English - spoken and written
- Ability to build excellent rapport and strong working relationships
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Client-focused with high degree of attention to detail
- Adaptable and flexible
- Ability to work independently in a market with little supervision and using resources available
- A self-motivator who sustains focus on results and assumes accountability for the effective conclusion of projects/tasks
- Experience in writing/leading response to successful tenders
- Broad and diverse network for knowledge, contacts, resourcing projects
- Professional presentation skills.
