Requirements
- A relevant National Diploma or higher or N6 plus additional two

years’ post-qualification experience or a three-year

Telecommunication Electrician type (example - P&T Trade test)

qualification plus additional two years’ post-qualification experience
- A minimum of three years’ relevant industry experience in Telecoms

Facilities (Switching Centres, UPS, HVAC, generators, BMS, etc.) and

High Sites (masts, containers, BMS, etc.) repairs and maintenance
- Experience in leading a vendor or in-house Telecoms Facilities and

High Sites repair teams would be an advantage
- Valid Code B driver’s licence.

Key Performance Areas
- Undertake and lead technical activities within the Switching

Facilities and High Sites infrastructure maintenance and repairs
- Provide quality supervision and control of maintenance and repairs

of the City’s Switching Facilities and High Sites
- Ensure as-built information submitted accordingly for update;
ensure compliance with SOPs, policies and guidelines, provide

feedback to management
- Design Interpreting: Review and interpret the drawings/plans

specifying changes in records or as-built information
- Coordinate the day-to-day activities of broadband Switching

Facilities and High Sites infrastructure maintenance as well as

contractors involved in the supply and update of information in order

to fulfil delivery commitments of the section
- Provide support to project management and operations

management as required to ensure commitments are met by City

vendors
- Maintain effective communication with stakeholders.
