**Minimum requirements for the role**:

- Previous experience working as a Maintenance Supervisor or Maintenance Manager or related position leading, training, motivating, controlling and disciplining a team within the FMCG or food manufacturing environment is essential.
- An electrical qualification or related is preferred for this role.
- Previous experience in managing, monitoring and controlling 3rd party out-sourced specialist technical service providers service level agreements.
- Previous hands-on experience in the repair and maintenance of workshop systematic organisation, plumbing and water systems, large electrical food processing appliances, refrigerated trucks and other small vehicles, welding of mild and stainless-steel equipment etc within a food processing plant.
- Have good working knowledge and experience in the interpretation and enforcement of the OHS Act and regulations.
Budgeting and planning recording repairs and maintenance and scheduling of preventative maintenance.
- Communicating and managing suppliers to ensure performance as per service levels.
- Overseeing the maintenance, procurement and stock management of critical spares
- Ensuring the safety of team members and contractors and adherence to OHSA guidelines.
- Planning and scheduling maintenance.
- Handling all employee relations within the department.
- Managing mechanical and electrical breakages.
- Ensuring that all maintenance procedures and standards are maintained.
- Serving as a focal point for resolving questions and inputs from operations, maintenance and engineering personnel.
- Managing the department within budget while minimising downtime and overtime.
- Ensuring that the Companys health and safety policies are adhered to at all times.
