Job Title: Operations Manager

Location: Malabar, Gqeberha

Reports To: Executive Director/Board of Directors

Employment Type: Full-Time

**Job Summary**:
The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the old age home, ensuring that all aspects of the facility run smoothly, efficiently, and in compliance with relevant regulations. This role involves managing staff, maintaining the physical infrastructure, ensuring the well-being of residents, and coordinating with other departments to provide high-quality care and services.

**Qualifications**:

- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Management, or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in a managerial role within a healthcare, aged care, or similar environment. (CRITICAL REQUIREMENT)

**Skills**:

- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Financial acumen and budget management experience.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements for aged care facilities.
- Problem-solving skills and ability to make decisions under pressure.

Preferred Certifications:

- Certification in Geriatric Care Management or equivalent will be an advantage.
- Understanding of grants and funding from DSD and corporate sponsors
- Knowledge of the Older Persons Act

Work Environment:

- The role requires working within a residential aged care facility, with occasional travel for meetings, training, or outreach.
- The Operations Manager may need to be on-call for emergencies outside of regular working hours.
