**Role: CITO / Senior Manager - Technology - Johannesburg - Western suburbs ( Hybrid model)** The company is a newly established entity within a leading tier 1 ISP, focused on constructing a fibre network across Africa and South Africa. They are currently seeking a Chief Technology and Information Officer (CTIO) to join their team. The company boasts an entrepreneurial culture, emphasizing agility and collaboration, while benefiting from the security and resources of its parent enterprise. The CTIO / Senior Technology Manager will be responsible for implementing and overseeing the technology roadmap for this very exciting fibre provider. This includes aligning and managing the efficient rollout of the network, ensuring cost-effective and future-proof infrastructure, and delivering high-quality service, coverage, and capacity. This role provides strong technical leadership across all business aspects and serves as the go-to expert for technology, playing a key role in establishing the fibre-based infrastructure for product delivery through service orchestration. Additionally, the Senior Manager - Technology will supervise IT network and infrastructure development plans and manage all information technology resources for the business. As a "start-up" the Senior Technology manager will be both hands on in a technical capacity as well as being part of the Executive team at a Strategic level. **Requirements**: **Minimum qualifications**: - Relevant Bachelor of Technology, Bachelor of Engineering, Bachelor of Scinece or similar degree. - Advantageous: Master’s degree in Technology/Engineering **Experience required**: - Minimum of 10 to 12 years of professional and technical experience in the wholesale, infrastructure, or B2B telecommunications sector, with expertise in planning, designing, implementing, and operating fibre networks (including Access, Metro, and NLD networks - A strong understanding of vendor offerings and solutions, including Bill of Quantities (BOQ) and Bill of Materials (BOM) related to technology infrastructure. - Demonstrated success in leading and executing network rollout projects. - Background in global/multinational enterprises with a solid grasp of emerging markets. - Experience in: Passive Fibre Networks (Access/Metro/NLD), Active Transmission/Optical Networks (xWDM/OTN), Access/Metro Network architecture, design & planning (FTTX), Backbone transmission architecture, design & planning (NLD), Passive and Active solution design For more information please contact: **Hayley Lovell Greene
