Maintenance Store Assistant

**Minimum Requirements**:
- 1-2 Years previous stores experience in a maintenance /engineering environment
- Minimum Qualification: Grade 12.
- Valid forklift licence advantageous
- Basic computer skills
- Proficiency in using inventory management software used to track and monitor stock levels.
- Basic knowledge of the types of spare parts used in a food manufacturing company.
- Self-motivated and ability to work independently.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Competent on job specific in-house job skills.
- Detail and accuracy orientated.
- Effective communication skills.
**Duties and Responsibilities**:
- Receive and process requests for spare parts from artisans and other maintenance personnel.
- Accurately issue spare parts, recording details of each transaction in the inventory system.
- Coordinate with artisans to ensure they have the necessary parts for scheduled maintenance tasks.
- Collaborate with the Maintenance Stock Planner to reorder items as needed.
- Ensure timely procurement and replenishment of stock to avoid shortages.
- Organize the maintenance storeroom for efficient storage and retrieval of items.
- Implement a clear labelling system to facilitate easy identification.
- Provide support in identifying the right spare parts and tools for specific maintenance tasks.
- Maintain very high personal and stores hygiene at all times.
- Perform any other reasonable task within his/her ability as operationally required by the company at any time.
- Moving equipment in and around the stores using lifting machinery such as forklifts.
