- 2-3 years’ experience in similar field.

**Duties**
- The mining & environmental officer will primarily be responsible for undertaking environmental inspections of quarries to ensure compliance.
- Assist in planning and the undertaking of internal and external environment Audits.
- Liaise with consultants, employees and the DMRE.
- Ensure contractors comply with environmental legislation.
- Summarize the monthly environmental reports for management reporting
- Monitor the compliance of the contractors.
- Schedule environmental training for employees and SHE committee meetings.
- Conduct Inductions and training to contractor stuff and visitors to the mining sites.
- Conduct environmental audits and inspections.
- Application and maintaining of water use licenses and general Authorizations for all the quarries.
- Maintaining and updating of environmental management plans.
- In conjunction with independent consultant ensures that Quantum’s and environmental performance reports for our quarries are submitted to the regulator timeously i.e. Submitting of environmental statutory reports to the Department of Mineral Resources and Energy before the deadlines.
- Assisting with the organization of community and public participations meetings.
- Carry 7.2 Legal Appointment as required by Mine Health and Safety Act.
- To carry all the ECO duties as indicated in an Environmental Authorisation document issued by the Department of Mineral Resources and Energy
