An exciting opportunity for a **(Shift) Manager** has become available at the prestigious Faircape Group.

Camera Surveillance Services has a state-of-the-art control centre and comprehensive CCTV solutions where we’re able to secure residential estates, healthcare facilities, and business parks with 24 hour off-site monitoring.

We currently manage over 1600 remote cameras to manage perimeter security, guardhouse alertness and presence, breaches of perimeter and Staff Management.

We use a combination of Life Monitoring and Analytical event pop’s to prevent secure perimeters, prevent theft, detection of Loitering and any suspicious behaviour, movement detection after hours, incident management, staff management and access control.

The incumbent will be responsible for the control and management of a live security control room, supervision of maintenance of security equipment and reporting on incidents.

**Duties include but will not be limited to the following**:

- Management of the control room, ensuring that quality of camera monitoring is maintained and maximum effectiveness
- Identification of weaknesses in security management
- Ensuring that site specific and control room protocols are followed at all times
- Reporting of any shortcoming in equipment
- Administration of daily checks and logging and following up of reports
- Reporting to clients on incidents
- Putting controls in place to minimise incidents
- Training of control room staff
- Managing of all Operators and Testing Supervisors
- Ensuring that all Operators follow the correct protocols and procedures at all times

**Requirements**:
**Qualifications**:

- PSIRA Grade A (advantageous)
- Post-graduate qualification on advantage

**Experience**:

- Proven experience as a Shift Manager or similar role in a CCTV control room
- Proven experience in the security industry
- Successful track record in a multi-function security control room

**Skills and Knowledge**:

- Computer literate
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient communication at all levels
- Good managerial skills
- Administratively strong
- Ability to handle conflict
- Effective reporting
- Ability to assess and evaluate situations effectively
- Ability to identify critical issues quickly and accurately
- Extensive knowledge of CCTV systems and their use in managing security risks
- Knowledge of processes and procedures applicable to a security/crime prevention control room
- Knowledge of the operating, monitoring, evaluating and maintaining of CCTV systems
- Knowledge of security-related procedures, equipment, access systems, electric fencing, perimeter security, fire alarms and other related security systems.

**Other Requirements**:

- Clear credit record
- No criminal record
- Contactable references
- Own transportation
- Proof of vaccination against covid-19 or prepared to be vaccinated prior to commencing work

**Working Hours**:
12 hour shifts working 3-day shifts, 3-night shifts, and then 3 days off.

Cam-Tech a market-related salary from R 15 000 Cost to Company per month. The salary will be dependent on experience, qualifications, attributes and skills.
