**Job Purpose**:
The Department of the Premier, Western Cape Government(WCG) has an exciting employment opportunity for a suitable individual who would like to make a difference in performance management and people management advice and support to executive and WCG seior management and to strategically manage the Directorate Performance and Priority Unit. This post is stationed in Cape Town, CBD.

**Minimum Requirements**:
An appropriate 3-year B-degree/ Advanced Diploma (NQF 7) or higher qualification as recognised by SAQA;
A minimum of 5 years relevant experience at a middle/senior managerial level.

**Key Performance Areas**:
Provide strategic guidance and advice in respect of the following broad areas of service delivery: Performance management system; performance

agreements, performance assessments, performance evaluation process and awards system and probation process; Provide performance consulting

services that includes poor performance and incapacity processes; Ensure the sourcing of talent for priority clients e.g Ministers offices, HOD’s and SMS.

Strategic Management; Change Management; People Management; Financial Management.

**Competencies**:
Proven working knowledge and experience of the following: Legislation, regulatory frameworks, policies and best practices; Information Systems; Core

Competencies: Strategic Capability and leadership, People Management and Empowerment, Programme and Project Management, Financial Management

and Change Management; Skills: Partnership Management; Change Management; Knowledge Management; The skills required of a high level in-house

advisor; Strong conceptual and formulation skills; Strong leadership skills with specific reference to the ability to display thought leadership in complex

**Remuneration**:
R 1 162 200 per annum, Salary Level 13.

The remuneration package consists of a basic salary (70%) and the employer’s contribution to the Pension Fund. The remainder of the package may be structured in accordance with the rules for SMS
