Restaurant Manager

A Well-Established Company in Fourways Is looking for a Restaurant Manager.

**Requirements**:

- A working understanding of restaurant operations
- Matric
- Computer literacy
- Front of house and back of house experience
- A keen understanding of KPI’s, food cost & budgets (more in depth for Senior

management)
- Achieve daily in store targets
- Communicates targets with team and encourages results driven outcomes
- Actively assist in Daily FOH and BOH operations
- Ensure all training is executed in accordance with manuals
- A keen understanding of business planning and strategy and the ability to execute such planning
- Identifying and creating new business opportunities
- Ensuring community responsibility and campaigns are executed at store level
- A keen understanding of in store audits (Admin, Full store and Training)
- Ensure all systems, processes and procedures are compliant with SOP
- Liaise with the management team in the form of regular management meetings on all administrative goals, processes and results
- Constant one on one interactions with Key employees
- Update Micros stock control lists (Senior manager)
- Ability to scrutinise stock management checks (senior manager)
- Accurately acquiring and analysing reports (senior manager) Inventory control
- Trouble shooting inventory discrepancies (senior manager)
- Maintenance of operating equipment
- Cash management

- Maintain a code of ethics as per SOP / disciplinary code and
- Other administrative duties as required
- Responsibilities by Function Financial Management (senior manager)
- Review and provide feedback on annual restaurant budgets as well as quarterly forecasts
- Seeks to improve Gross Profit through following all stock issuing and counting procedures, investigating and reporting on all variances, ensuring all security measures are being followed and invoices are being checked upon
- Execute restaurant KPIs on a weekly / monthly basis and implement actions steps when
- Work with POS & Admin Controller to ensure all Cash and Stock Systems are being adhered to
- Ensure procurement procedure as per SOP, including processing invoices and recon on daily financials (senior manager)

Customer Service
- Ensure a strong focus on Legendary Customer Service
- Work with owner to ensure timely follow up to all customer complaints
- Regular follow up on Service Evaluations to ensure service levels are consistently improved
- Coordinate Legendary Customer Service trainings to ensure all employees are certified within their first three months
- Maintains a calm exterior during times of high pressure and acts in a professional manner when confronted with tough situations and role models the same

Planning & Execution
- Implements company and restaurant programs by working directly with Management team to execute action plans that meet operational requirements
- Communicates clearly, concisely and accurately to ensure effective restaurant operations
- Utilises all forms of communication ie: Handover Book, Communication Boards and Management and Pre Shift Meetings
- Filters relevant communication to all staff members

Training and Development
- Active involvement with all Training Plans for all new employees as well as follow up on training standards for all employees
- Review Personal Development Plans for all management teams and ensure growth opportunities for all employees (senior manager)
- Monitors team moral and is sensitive to individuals Always balances what is right for the person with what is right for the business
