PRODUCTION SUPERINTENDENT

Responsible for all production, industrial and process engineering, and maintenance activities.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Managed & control all production activities in the company.
- Ensure all SWS requirements are compiled with and adhered to in the production department.
- Ensure all ISO 90001 and 14001 requirements are being met and adhered to in the production department.
- Manage the department in accordance with the SEWS-SA Quality Management System.
- Responsible to maintain and improve production targets and efficiencies.
- Ensure that Safety Rules and requirements are adhered to throughout the plant.
- Ensure on time in full deliveries to meet with customer requirements at the right quality and cost.
- Drives and creates continuous improvement activities.
- Develops, prepares and / or maintains documentation pertaining to manufacturing processes, systems operations, product development, and other technical processes.
- Works hand in hand with supervision and maintenance team to maximize up-time on machines and improve plant OEE and defect rates.
- Develops and drives implementation of best practices, routines, and innovative solutions to improve production rates and quality of output. Scope includes but is not limited to scrap reduction, cycle time reduction, downtime reduction, FPY) first pass yield) increase, OEE increase etc.
- Ensure accuracy of all Product related data, including Production Plans and reports, Gathers and collects data from production lines to aid in decision making process improvement effort prioritization.
- Research, reviews, and collects available technical information as a basis for documentation, and improvement.
- Supports quality initiatives and works with teams to develop the necessary poke yokes to improve overall quality of manufactured parts.
- Supports and leads PFMEA & Control Plan activities and Production Engineering activities.
- Designs, implements, and maintains procedures relating to efficient manufacturing practices using Lean initiatives.
- Conducts time studies for line balancing.
- Creates new documentation or updates existing documentation to accurately reflect changes in a product or process and ensures standard work is being followed.
- Responsible for the development of manufacturing workflow, line layouts, floor plans and Production related optimization activities.
- Tracks process parameters and ensures standard work is up to date and being followed.
- Project management of Production related act
- Performs all other duties as assigned by management.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

- BTech Degree in Engineering or similar
- Minimum 5 years manufacturing experience in the automotive or similar industry
- Proficient in Microsoft Office software including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint
- Have hands on experience in standard maintenance of factory equipment.
