We are looking for an Junior - Intermediate UX/UI Designer to join our team based in Stellenbosch, Western Cape, South Africa.

**Responsibilities**:

- Establish and innovate user-centered design processes
- Champions the UX and UI processes
- Ensuring that the designated designs and products of clients are articulated and met.
- Advocate for the role of user experience, design, and research in making more data-driven decisions
- Play a leading role in client interactions in order to understand, in firsthand, their needs and formulate product UX and UI designs
- Regularly report out to various leaders and teams in the company about UX programs, projects, success stories, and best practices
- Support the continual optimization of product development
- Gather and evaluate user requirements in collaboration with product managers and engineers
- Illustrate design ideas using storyboards, process flows and sitemap
- Design graphic user interface elements, like menus, tabs and widgets
- Create clickthrough prototypes of designs to demonstrate the navigation flow of screens
- Develop UI mockups and prototypes that clearly illustrate how sites function and look like
- Create original graphic designs (e.g., images, sketches and tables)
- Prepare and present rough drafts to internal teams and key stakeholders
- Identify and troubleshoot UX problems (e.g., responsiveness)
- Conduct layout adjustments based on user feedback
- Adhere to style standards on fonts, colours, and images

**Requirements**:

- You have a qualification in Design, Fine Arts, Engineering or a related field
- You have prior experience as a UI/UX Designer as well as a portfolio of related projects
- You are proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (specifically Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop)
- You are proficient in Figma
- Comfortable with building web building platforms such as WIX and Editor X
- You pay strong attention to detail and have a keen eye for aesthetics
- You have excellent communication skills and can clearly articulate your ideas, designs, and suggestions
- You are a strong team player who can collaborate effectively with different stakeholders
