Our client based in Pietermaritzburg is looking to employ an experienced Distribution Supervisor to ensure that the distribution team at the company meet the required customer service level within the operational budget. The successful individual will also ensure that distribution processes are executed in accordance with health, safety and quality standards.

**Requirements**:

- Matric
- Diploma in Supply Chain Management
- 5 years distribution experience in an FMCG environment, at least 3 years of which in a supervisory role.
- Continuous improvement, quality and safety experience in a manufacturing/distribution environment.
- Experience in labour relations

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Manage debriefing process
- Daily crate management - ensure that the crate pool is sufficient to maintain order and service level fulfilment at the lowest possible cost.
- Driver cash management
- Human Resource Management - effectively maintain the appropriate human resource levels by the careful selection, retention and performance-based management of staff as well as maintain a healthy labour relations environment.
- Food, safety and quality management - support the Food Safety and Quality Management Systems.
- Safety, Health and the Environment and Risk Management - undertake business continuity planning and risk management practices in order to minimise distribution risks.
