**Introduction**
This position will be based at Head Office in Woodmead.
**Description**
The purpose of the position is to manage and coordinate the implementation of Group SHEQ related programmes and systems according to Minopex, client and legislative requirements.
**Duties & Responsibilities**:
- Ensure that the Minopex SHEQ Management System is implemented and maintained on all Minopex sites.
- Ensure that the sites comply with the requirements of the SHEQ Management System.
- Guide and advise the Minopex Senior Management on SHEQ related issues, working closely with the VPs, Area Managers and Regional SHEQ Managers.
- Report all SHEQ related issues to the Minopex EVP, Manco and DRA Global SHEQ Committee.
- Support the International sites SHEQ management.
- Ensure the implementation and maintenance of programs and systems across the Minopex sites to create awareness and compliance according to the Minopex and DRA Global SHEQ objectives.
- Ensure the implementation and maintenance of the Minopex SHEQ Management System to monitor adherence to SHEQ and legislative requirements.
- Administer the “super user” functionality for the SHEQ Action Management Platform, Isometrix.
- Month end Consolidated SHEQ reporting and maintaining the consolidated SHEQ statistics and DRA Global SHEQ reporting requirements.
- Ensure SHEQ incidents are reported timeously according to the Minopex and DRA Global SHEQ reporting requirements.
- Chair the Quarterly SHEQ Management Review meetings.
- Chair weekly Minopex SHEQ meetings with the Regional SHEQ Managers, VPs and Area Managers and flag significant issues to the EVP / Manco.
- Actively participate in the weekly DRA Global SHEQ meetings and ensure Minopex SHEQ systems are aligned with the DRA Global SHEQ strategies.
- In conjunction with the senior line managers set the SHEQ KPIs and targets to ensure alignment with the overall DRA Global SHEQ targets. Monitor and advise on achieving and exceeding these targets.
- Ensure site level objectives and targets are in line with corporate and client objectives and targets.
- Provide and manage programs to assist sites to comply with legal requirements, i.e. Mine Health and Safety Act, Occupational Health and Safety Act, COIDA Act, OHSACT Regulations etc.
- Ensure the auditing of SHEQ systems and compliance according to organizational standards and legislative requirements
- Ensure all legal appointments are in place, valid and correct according to required legislation
- Coordinate site certification processes according to ISO standards, (i.e. ISO 9001, 14001 & ISO45001) to ensure adherence to client specification and organizational standards
- Continuously analyze SHEQ information to identify problems, deviations and recommend preventative and corrective actions accordingly
- Participate in high actual and potential incident/accident investigations to determine, report and eliminate root causes according to legislative and ISO requirements
- Advise on the implementation of SHEQ related training and development to create awareness and adherence to legislative requirements
- Provide specialist advice to internal and external stakeholders on SHEQ related programs, systems and adherence
- Advise Regional SHEQ Managers and Senior Line Management to ensure compliance with all SHEQ systems and reporting
- Establishing and maintain sound relationships with clients and other stakeholders
- Ensure that relationships with Government Authorities (DMR & DOH) are effectively managed and maintained
**Qualification Requirements**:
- A relevant Degree or Diploma in SHEQ Management
- Management Development Diploma
- SHEQ Auditors Certificate
**Experience and Skills Requirements**
- Minimum 10 years’ experience and knowledge of SHEQ management within plant operations.
- SHEQ Auditors Certificate
- Computer literate in MS Office
- Presentation and report writing skills
- Legal Liability Training
- ISO 9001 Quality Management Training
- ISO 14001 Environmental Management Training
- ISO 45001 Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems Training
- Advanced Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment experience
- Computer Literate in MS Office
- Presentation and report writing skills
- Valid driver’s licence code B, EB or C1
- Own transport
