**Responsibilities**
- Lead, develop and maintain factory and sites SHEQ management programs and systems
- Support line management in delivering site SHEQ objectives
- Determine the strategic direction and work priorities (in conjunction with line management) for the continuous improvement of the factory and sites SHEQ management program and systems
- Advise line management and assist with the implementation of new or existing SHEQ-related legislation, rules and Company standards to include fire prevention, health and safety awareness training, site inspections of Company and contractors’ sites
- Manage processes to ensure that products meet required specifications for quality, function, and reliability prior to delivery
- Identify and set appropriate quality standards and parameters for products inbound and outbound
- Communicate quality standards and parameters to production and other appropriate staff
- Identify and analyze issues, defects, and other problems that would affect finished products & recommend and facilitate solutions to these issues
- Complete prevention inspections on a regular basis and ensure records maintained of same
- Full responsibility for Company preparations for monthly H&S and quality audits
- Investigate accidents and ensure all documentation is updated
- Develop a monthly SHEQ communication strategy for all sites and levels of staff, to include written information, tool box talks and management briefs
- Liaise with HR Dept. for initiating and coordinating training plan and updating information for personal and audit
- Advise line management in factories, office and on site of health, safety, quality and environmental matters and manage this process to ensure all advice is incorporated into day to day processes and operations
- Facilitate all forms of risk assessment e.g. general, manual handling, COSHH, fire prevention and act as a final authority where a Specialist response is required in relation to risk assessments performed by others on site
- Conduct occupational health and safety related surveys e.g. noise, lighting, exposure to rubber substances and makes associated recommendations
- Coordinate and participate in all raw material and product testing processes, data, documentation and certification
- Maintain compliance, laws, regulations, guidelines and policies
- Analyze and report on NCR's to management on the cost of repairs and replacements
- Maintain ISO 9001 manual
- Conduct internal and annual ISO quality audits
- Control all products imports

**Minimum Requirements**
- Matric
- **Tertiary qualification in the SHEQ field**:

- **Quality Assurance Tertiary Qualification**:

- SAMTRAC/Occupational Health Safety and Environmental Management Qualification advantageous
- MS Office Suite
- **Experience of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards**:

- **5 Years’ experience in environmental health and safety**:

- **5 Years’ of experience in quality assurance**:

- **5 years’ experience within a manufacturing environment**
