Education and skills
- Minimum of 5 years technical experience and proven ability to develop professional tenders in electrical and instrumentation (E&I) projects.
- Completed diploma / degree in Engineering / Management.
- Must have good construction and engineering contractual knowledge.
- Must be computer literate, specifically with MS Office Suite and CCS (Candy).

- Must be self-motivated and able to work with mínimal supervision.
- Ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines.
- Must be able to set an example of integrity and professionalism.

**Responsibilities**:

- Prepare Electrical and Instrumentation estimates as directed.
- Carefully study tender documents, specifications and drawings.
- Scrutinise the overall accuracy of the materials take-off, bills of quantities and specifications
issued by the engineering department.
- Prepare material take-off for the E&I scope for proposals when there is no support available
from engineering, if the situation arises.
- Preparation of commercial adjudication of materials, equipment and subcontract
quotations.
- Preparation of complete cost estimate in accordance with company work instructions by
- Participate in the introduction of new techniques in estimating.
- Conduct site visits as and when required.
- Work closely as part of a team.
- Ensure all company procedures with respect to estimating and procurement are adhered to.
- Ensure that detailed spread-sheets are completed and that an accurate bid analysis is carried out on all quotations received.
- Ensure all files are maintained as per company quality assurance procedures and full traceability maintained.
- Any other guidance as given by the Estimating Manager or his designate.
