A medium-sized audit and accounting firm based in Somerset West is offering an exciting opportunity for an Audit Senior to join their team.

The position is primarily responsible for the overall management of audits performed, management and mentoring of trainee accountants and providing assistance to Directors.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Plan and manage audits: prepare audit budget, oversee auditing work, manage the work-in-progress to align with the budget, and finalise audits.
- Draft financial statements in accordance with relevant accounting framework.
- Calculate tax efficient structure for clients, as well as provisional and annual taxes.
- Manage various client portfolios and identify opportunities for cross-selling of other services.
- Team management: allocate work to accounting trainees, provide on-the-job training, review trainee accountant’s work and provide feedback.
- Maintain own productivity to the expected standard.

**Qualifications and experience**:

- BAcc (Hons)/CTA.
- Completed SAICA article.
- One year of post-article experience is preferred.
- Thorough knowledge of IFRS for SME's, IFRS, ISA, and taxation.
- Experience with CaseWare.

**Remuneration**:

- R240,000 to R360,000 per month.
