**PURPOSE OF THE JOB**

The role of a QA Manager role is to ensure the quality and reliability of software products or systems are met. This involves Preparing, validating, and contributing to release notes. The QA Manager will also be expected to oversee the execution of various types of tests, including functional, regression, integration, performance, and user acceptance testing, to identify defects and ensure software meets quality standards.

**JOB SPECIFICATION**

**Test Efficiency**
- Delivery within SLA to the client
- Plan and manage scope of testing for epics and regression (releases)
- Review tests, test plans, and test executions.
- Ensure sufficient test data is provided.
- Manage QA environments and test equipment.
- Reduce Manual Testing

**Testing Process**
- Implement quality process.
- Prepare/validate/contribute release notes.
- Implement and maintain a proper Estimation process.

**Team Collaboration**
- Create document(s) and liaise with clients.

**Mentorship**
- Provide staff with training on quality processes and standards.
- Instil proper QA methodologies, way of work and QA culture.

**Team Management**
- Staff Placement
- Performance Management
- Capacity Planning
- Manage team productivity and quality.
- Hire A Players / Manage Vacancies

**Training and Development**
- Identify and Set training plans

**KEY COMPETENCIES**:
Personal Attributes/ Character traits required for this job:

- Experience with Test Analysis
- Experience with creating test plans.
- Experience with API Testing Tools
- Experience with SQL
- Experience with Test Automation tools and Creating Automation Tests
- Knowledge of Multiple Testing Techniques
- Microsoft Office
- Experience with Task and Process Tracking tools
- Experience with Developing QA processes and procedures

**MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS**:

- +7 years’ experience in a QA environment
- +5 years’ experience with automation testing
- +3 year’s leading a team
- ISTQB certification would be advantageous
- Experience within Agile environment
- Retail experience is advantageous.

**Salary**: R65 000,00 - R70 000,00 per month

**Experience**:

- Quality Engineering: 7 years (preferred)
- Lead/Manager: 3 years (preferred)
