**Job Purpose**: **Qualifications & Experience**: Senior certificate (Grade 12) or equivalent. Valid Code 08 Drivers License. +/-2 years experience in Automotive Manufacturing Industry. 5+ years experience in similar role. Vehicle Handling experience. Quality Control experience. Red seal certification will be an added advantage **Key Responsibilities**: Operations: Ensure good Vehicle storage and handling governance according to client guidelines Performing jobs allocated by the Workshop Supervisor Inspecting faults presented Ordering necessary parts from the Parts Department counter or parts warehouse Reporting faults detected other than those that have been presented or other needs for repair/replacements to the Workshop Supervisor Check VIN no and kilometre reading before commencement of work Quoting on all defects on the vehicle, and informing of items which may require attention in the future, including panel outwork, tyres windscreens etc Completion of the service schedules attached to job card according to manufacturer’s requirements Perform test drive to ensure work is completed correctly prior to handing to Workshop Supervisor for final inspection Complete Problem, cause and remedy on all jobs, warranty job cards to be fully Descriptive PDI’s to be performed as per manufacturer’s requirements, PDI sheets to be completed in full, battery test print out to be attached and wheel pressures to be corrected" Repairing the customer’s vehicles as per requirement by client Ensure compliance to good hygiene and housekeeping disciplines within all areas under responsibilities Any movement of vehicles to and from refurb must be communicated with the supervisor or owner Ensure only vehicles that have approval to be worked on is parked within the facility Carry out general maintenance tasks at the workshop General: Immediately report any irregularities to his superiors Carry out functions and duties that may reasonably expected of him Filling in jobcards Need to work extended hours when required. Be creatively involved in blue area discussions. Assist the Supervisor where and when required.
