**Job Specification - Assistant Manager (Fuel Station)**

Support the Station Manager in overseeing daily operations of the fuel station, ensuring efficient inventory management, staff supervision, financial control, sales growth, customer service excellence, and compliance with safety standards.

This position is based in Warner Beach

**Job Summary**

**Inventory & Supply Chain**
- Manage fuel, shop stock, and consumables; place timely orders to prevent shortages.
- Negotiate with suppliers and ensure accurate stock counts, GRVs, and reconciliations.

**Sales & Merchandising**
- Maximise sales through effective merchandising, promotions, and pricing adjustments.
- Achieve monthly sales and profitability targets.

**Financial & Cash Control**
- Ensure accurate processing of cash/card transactions.
- Reconcile tills, credit card batches, daily sheets, and supplier invoices.
- Submit daily/weekly/monthly reports to Head Office.

**Staff & Capacity Management**
- Assist with staff scheduling, timesheet verification, payroll distribution.
- Oversee training, performance reviews, and disciplinary processes.

**Customer Service**
- Handle inquiries and complaints professionally.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and customer-friendly store environment.

**Compliance & Safety**
- Enforce health, safety, and environmental standards.
- Conduct regular equipment and site safety checks.

**Required Skills & Competencies**
- Leadership and people management.
- Must be computer literate.
- Must be prepared to work various shifts including weekends.
- Retail operations and inventory control.
- Financial acumen and attention to detail.
- Customer service orientation.

**Key Requirements**
- Diploma in Business/Retail Management (or equivalent).
- 3+ years in retail/forecourt/FMCG environment, with supervisory experience.
- Knowledge of fuel handling, HSE standards, and retail best practices.

Pay: R11 500,00 - R13 500,00 per month

**Education**:

- Diploma (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Operations: 4 years (required)
- Managerial: 2 years (preferred)
