Are you a visionary with a systems mindset and a passion for creating exceptional digital experiences? Absa CIB is seeking a dynamic Design System Lead to drive the vision, strategy, roadmap, build, and implementation of our comprehensive Design System. This role will encompass UI components, icons, language, and interaction patterns across both mobile and desktop platforms.

Job Description

Your key responsibilities will include;
- Leading the design and development of Absa CIB’s Design System throughout its maturity stages for both desktop and mobile environments.
- Enhancing and maintaining contributions to the Design System.
- Managing feature and enhancement requests to streamline the process for multiple product teams building systematized components.
- Presenting the system's mission, library, and processes to varied groups including product managers, content specialists, QA, and other design and development teams across the organization.
- Ensuring ongoing tracking and monitoring of the usage of design system elements, conducting audits, and reporting progress to key stakeholders and the broader organization.

- Bachelor’s degree in Design, Digital Media, or a related field. Engineering degrees in built environment, process engineering, or architecture are also welcome.
- Proven experience in designing, developing, and rolling out design systems within large corporate environments.
- Ability to translate business requirements into day-to-day design system initiatives supporting the digital experience strategy.
