- Position reports to the Operations Manager- Key areas of responsibility include but are not limited to:
**Supervisory**
- Manage and review performance and development of staff.- Propose any additional security measures deemed necessary.- Ensure all security procedures and processes are documented and audited quarterly for adherence.- Set, consolidate, and analyse all security weekly and monthly reports.**Site Security**
- Set daily and weekly guard position roster.- Ensure radio communication equipment is in working order at all times.- Ensure replacements are arranged during guard absenteeism via the security company.- Ensure panic buttons are in working order and tested regularly.- Ensure camera equipment is in working order and recording daily.- Observe and analyse staff movement via live or recorded footage when required.- Ensure night duty guards are posted.- Monitor loading and offloading of stock at the warehouse to identify any security risks.- Ensure daily adherence of site lock-up procedures.- Walk about the site and report any criminal or suspicions activity to management.- Implement additional security precautions during stock takes and festive seasons.- Review “OB” book daily and report any abnormalities to management.- Be present when staff and their belongings are searched.- Check stock when dispatching at Customer Courier.- Check invoices and stock is correct in dispatch.**Warehouse Cleanliness**
- Ensure that the warehouse is always clean.- Ensure all pallets are taken to designated areas.- Assist with the sale and removal of pallets.- Ensure all rubbish bins are clean and empty.- Overall security of equipment in designated area.**Garden**:

- Ensure tidiness of designated work areas as per schedule.- Ensure all verandas are cleaned once a month.- Maintenance of tools for the garden.-
**Inherent Requirements**
- Matric- At least 3 years supervisory experience in a logistics or distribution environment coupled with security industry experience (non-negotiable).- Computer literacy is essential- Excellent communication skills- Ability to work under pressure and in a team.- Strong customer focus and the ability to demonstrate initiative, good judgment and problem-solving skills are required.**What Qualification**
