Purpose: To teach English to overseas students as required and in an active environment.

Person SpecificationEssential
- First degree or equivalent
- Current Cambridge CELTA or Trinity TESOL Certificate, or equivalent*
- Dynamic ‘can do’ approach to work
- Excellent communication skills & ability to work well with others
- Native speaker or same level of competence
- Computer literate
- Ability to teach English effectively at all levels
- Some knowledge of foreign cultures
- **equivalent course comprising a minimum of 120 contact hours including input, lesson planning, feedback, peer observation, observation of experienced teachers and tutorials, including a minimum of 6 hours observed teaching practice with real students and external validation.**

Desirable
- An interest in Blended Learning and the use of electronic resources
- Experience in teaching English for Business
- Experience in exam preparation teaching - Cambridge Suite, IELTS, TOEFL, TOEIC.
- Knowledge of the CEFR
- Experience in the delivery of Learner Training
- Good working knowledge of at least one foreign language
- Good knowledge of Sea Point and central Cape Town.
- Previous ELT experience in a variety of teaching / learning contexts

This position requires commitment, a flexible approach and energy.

**Job Type**: Part-time

**Salary**: From R145.00 per hour
