The position of GM Production oversees all production processes and improvements in resource and process management. The incumbent is responsible for managing all aspects of the production to ensure customer expectations are met in regards to productivity, quality and safety. The incumbent is further expected to ensure effectiveness and efficiency of departmental processes and operations.
The GM Production reports to the Chief Operating Officer
Duties involve the following:
**1. Production Area Management**
- Oversee the processes and production activities in all production areas.Implementing and Control of Production Processes (Including new processes for new products)Ensure good manufacturing practices (GMPS) are implemented in all areasWork to reduce waste (over production or incidental) to a minimum of processing waste onlyEnsure compliance with customer specifications, quality standards, Food and Drug Administration (FDA), Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP), FSSC22000, safety, health, environmental and other regulations
**2. Overtime and Employee Time Management**

**Knowledge, Skills and Experience**
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Johannesburg, Gauteng: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
**Experience**:
- Bakery: 3 years (preferred)
- Production Management: 3 years (preferred)
- managing Variable Production: 3 years (required)
