**Overview**
Our client based in the Southern Suburbs, a private rehab facility is seeking to secure the services of a Registered Nurse with experience with addiction.
- Twice a week for 3 hours a day (1 of the days must be on Wednesdays from 12pm to 3pm to be present for case management
- RN with addiction experience - dual diagnosis
**General Duties**
- Boxing of medication
- Stock count of medication
- Managing detox meds and OTC medication.
- Assist in creating new protocols, make sure all the facility’s documentation is up to date and accurate.
- Assist in infection control, high risk areas, colour coding etc.
- Basic nursing assessment with each new client.
- Seeing any clients that might have minor moans and groans ( IE Ear ache ) - instruct manager what to order and clear details for scripts.
- Basic first aid training for staff, emergency bags stocked etc.
- A wellness lecture once a week.
- Storing and labelling of medication meets the legal requirements.
**Department of Social Development (DSD)**
- The facility is registered with the DSD and have regular inspections, it is important that the facility meets their criteria at all times and
for the RN to have in this regard.
- Everything is in place; however, it is also the responsibility of the RN to check all, update and improve (where applicable) on all protocols and documents as per DSD recommendations.
**Qualifications**:
- Relevant Nursing Qualification
- Current SANC Registration
- Must have a valid driver’s license and own reliable transport
