Sewing Teacher Application

Overview: We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Sewing Teacher to teach a variety of sewing techniques, pattern making and garment construction to students of all skill levels.

**Requirements**:

- Applicants must hold a fashion qualification at a minimum of **NQF Level 1.**:

- Applicants must possess a **facilitator’s certificate** for teaching sewing.

**Key Responsibilities & Skills Needed**:
**-⁠ ⁠Teaching Fundamentals**: Guide students from basic to advanced sewing skills, including pattern making and fabric selection.

**-⁠ ⁠Teaching Experience**: Previous teaching experience or a proven ability to mentor and guide learners is preferred.

**-⁠ ⁠Equipment Proficiency**: Comfortable using sewing machines and overlockers.

**-⁠ ⁠Patience and Student Support**: Must have a passion for teaching — patience is the name of the game A group of students will be assigned to you, each coming with their own learning styles & needing their teacher’s dedication. If you lose your nerve easily or can’t hold your concentration for long - this is probably not the position for you.

**-⁠ ⁠Good physical health**: This position demands being quick on your feet, juggling between students and managing your time and energy well in back-to-back sessions.

**-⁠ ⁠Strong Team Spirit**: A willingness to collaborate with fellow colleagues & find creative solutions for admin or teaching challenges.

**Location**:
We are based in Northcliff, Johannesburg.

**Position Details**:

- ⁠ ⁠Availability: Full-time AND part-time opportunities available. Monday to Saturday, with options for either 4-hour or 8-hour shifts each day.
- ⁠ ⁠Salary: R6,000 to R11,000 per month, based on appointed shifts, expertise and contribution to the company.
