**Experience**:
At least three (3) years experience within a financial analytic and administrative role.

**Formal qualifications**
- Matric or equivalent NQF level
- Valid driving license code 8
- Own transport
- Competency with all Microsoft Office Packages (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access and Project)
- Competency with Google App Suite will be advantageous.

**Responsibilities**
- Analyse and evaluate financial data related to construction projects, including budgets, costs, and expenses.
- Conduct cost analysis to identify potential cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.
- Prepare detailed financial reports and presentations to inform project stakeholders.
- Monitor project finances and track variances against the budget.
- Manage the procurement process for construction materials, equipment, and services.
- Source and evaluate potential suppliers, obtaining and comparing quotations for optimal pricing and quality.
- Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with vendors and subcontractors.
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies, regulations, and industry standards.
- Maintain accurate procurement records and documentation.
- Assist in the development and monitoring of project budgets.
- Collaborate with project managers to create accurate and realistic cost estimates.
- Provide financial input for budget planning and forecasting.
- Analyse financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for cost optimization.
- Implement financial controls and processes to ensure accuracy, integrity, and transparency of financial data.
- Monitor and enforce compliance with financial policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct internal audits and reviews to identify potential financial risks and recommend improvements.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements, tax filings, and other compliance-related documents.
- Provide administrative assistance to various construction departments as required.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to purchasing activities and financial transactions.
- Collaborate effectively with project managers and other stakeholders to ensure seamless operations.
- Support project teams in coordinating administrative tasks, such as scheduling meetings, preparing reports, and organising documentation.
- Analyse construction project data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for process improvement.
- Prepare regular reports and presentations summarising financial performance and purchasing activities.
- Present findings and recommendations to project stakeholders and management.

- Excellent numerical skills: Ability to work with large sets of data, perform calculations accurately, and identify trends or anomalies.
- Attention to detail: Ability to meticulously review and analyse information, ensuring accuracy and identifying discrepancies.
- Independent worker: Self-motivated and capable of managing tasks independently, prioritising workload, and meeting deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities: Capable of identifying patterns, trends, and potential issues, and providing appropriate solutions.
- Excellent communication skills: Able to effectively communicate findings, recommendations, and negotiate with vendors or suppliers.
- Organisational skills: Strong ability to multitask, prioritise tasks, and maintain organised records.
- Proficient in relevant software tools: Experience working with financial analysis software, procurement systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Adherence to strong deadlines: Ability to manage time effectively, set priorities, and meet tight deadlines.
- Ability to work under pressure: Capable of performing well and maintaining composure in high-pressure situations and fast-paced environments.
