Business Need/Purpose of Role:
The Contracts Specialist will be responsible for managing contract execution between third parties and Weir Minerals. Deep knowledge of the industry, its clients and the timing of contract renewals will be required. This individual will be responsible for coordinating the functions of the contract negotiations in order to reach targets on input and margin specifically for aftermarket sales on key accounts. The successful individual will be comfortable engaging with clients and negotiating complex prices adjustments. The successful individual would also be required to support and report on a regional level, on the activities of contracts and its various stages leading up to implementation.

Job Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s Degree preferable - Commercial
- Honors degree would be beneficial
- Computer Literate - Advanced MS Office Suite, ERP Software

Minimum Experience:

- 6 years of industry experience in a mining/manufacturing environment
- Contracts negotiation, customer-facing and industry-related experience

Key Tasks:

- Manage margin of contracts portfolio
- Commercial presentations to customers
- input into product plans and strategic plans in order to achieve budget
- Develop key relationships with key customers
- Adhere to HSE and Housekeeping requirements at the branch and customer sites
- Adhere to Duty of Care Policy at all times

Minimum Skills/Abilities:

- Report writing skills
- Professional communication on all levels
- Able to Analyse and interpret technical drawings
- Presentation skills
- Able to work under pressure
- Demonstrates strong technical understanding
- Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner
- Manages difficult customers and responds promptly to customer needs
- Deadline driven
- Sound understanding of cost implications
