**The role of the Photo and Video Repair Technician is a highly technical role and will report to the Customer repair Centre Manager. The position is based on-site at the repair centre in Centurion, Gauteng.**

**As part of a team of PVRTs you are expected to diagnose and repair issues with all types of cameras, lenses, and related photographic equipment, whilst maintaining elevated levels of quality control and customer service excellence.**

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- **Check, service, repair and/or adjust digital camera equipment of clients, ensuring that it functions at the optimal level and setup specifications.**
***:

- **Check, service, repair and/or adjust prime and zoom lenses, confirming its operational performance.**
***:

- **Closely examine and maintain, repair and/or adjust accessory equipment, g. monitors, flashes, grips, etc. along with updating software and firmware in keeping with established guidelines.**
***:

- **Go through work requests, follow service manuals and training programs, or receive verbal instruction on the tasks to be performed.**
***:

- **Frequently interact with customers regarding their problems and provide easy-to
- understand guidance.**
***

- **Electronics qualification is highly advantageous - A qualification in digital electronics will help in understanding product operation and troubleshooting.**
***:

- **Photographic background: Photographic background will assist in understanding customer complaint and aid in communication.**
***:

- **Superior attention to detail and ability to follow processes.**
***:

- **Must have a good eye to identify discrepancies and be able to follow repair and adjustment procedures.**
***:

- **Troubleshooting skills: good troubleshooting skills will aid in problem identification and shorten repair times and increase accuracy.**
***:

- **Understanding latest technology: Must understand developing technology as customers use a variety of equipment and software.**
***:

- **Computer literacy and proficiency: Must have skills to install and use software as well as troubleshoot software related issues.**

- **Effective communication and listening skills: good verbal and written**
