Our client, a prominent investment management firm operating in Africa, is in search of an Investment Analyst to complement their Infrastructure Debt team. In this position, the primary responsibility is to oversee a diverse portfolio of infrastructure debt investments, involving tasks such as thorough credit risk management, credit analysis, financial modeling, legal assessment, and continuous monitoring of counterparties. Additionally, the role includes responsibilities related to networking, evaluation, and facilitation of early-stage infrastructure transactions across South Africa and the broader African region.

**Duties & Responsibilities**
- Conduct credit analysis, financial modelling, and legal reviews for infrastructure debt investments.
- Proactively monitor and communicate views and recommendations to key stakeholders.
- Analyze potential investment opportunities and develop funding solutions.
- Prepare and present credit/investment proposals to relevant committees.
- Review and negotiate legal documentation related to approved investments.
- Contribute to enhancing the credit risk management framework.
- Engage in administrative activities related to credit processing, including documentation and metrics.

**Desired Experience & Qualification**
- Bachelor's degree in B Comm, B Bus Sci, B Eng., or relevant equivalent tertiary qualification.
- CA (SA) preferable, CFA highly advantageous.
- 3+ years of relevant work experience/articles.
- Interest in the financial services industry and experience in financial analyses on project finance transactions and corporates.
- Understanding of credit and fixed income markets.
- Strong Excel skills, including financial modelling.
- Experience in project finance is advantageous.

**Job Types**: Permanent, Full-time

**Salary**: From R300,000.00 per year
