Managing and driving business growth within the various chemical industries including but not limited to, Water Treatment, Mining, Manufacturing, Metal Processing, Pulp & Paper, Detergents, Textiles, Petrochemical, Agrochemical, Animal Feed, Personal Care, etc.

Developing new business, building relationships with current and potential clients, and providing exceptional customer service.

Developing and implementing sustainable customer relationship strategies enabling sales growth and long-term success,
Perform cost-benefit and needs analysis of existing or potential clients and provide a unique solution.
Establish annual, quarterly, and monthly sales plan and schedule activities so that these targets and key objectives are met.
Establish, develop, and maintain strong relationships with all current and potential Suppliers.
Coordinate sales effort with team members and other departments.

Providing input to the annual budgeting process in terms of volume, revenue, pricing, and margins etc.

Delivering against the agreed sales targets and key performance indicators.

Preparing, monitoring, and adjusting the monthly sales schedules.

Stay abreast of market developments and communicate such changes to the broader Sales Team. This includes pricing, new entrants, industry advances, global trends, legislation changes etc.

Liaising with internal and external stakeholders regarding stock availability and delivery expectations.

Working with the Finance department to ensure all customer payments are as per agreed terms and assist where necessary in resolving payment queries.

Handling customer complaints and working with the relevant departments to resolve and report back to customers.

Travelling regionally and nationally as business requirements demand.

National Diploma/Degree in Chemical Engineering/Chemistry or related.

Highly computer literate on MS Office and knowledge of SAGE (advantageous).

Previous sales experience in the Chemical/Mining industries is essential.

Must have a valid driver’s license, a reliable car and be willing to travel regionally and nationally.

Excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
