**Job Description**:
Position Purpose

Design and define the Operational Excellence strategy in the Supply Chain organization across SSA, driving innovation, simplification, and efficiency. Lead the continuous improvement culture spread out within the Operations teams via a Kaizen program and Six Sigma. Design and standardize operational project processes to ensure consistent quality & delivery of all projects incorporating six sigma principles.

Accountable for the design, measurement, prioritization, and review processes of major operational projects across the region and globally.

Major/Key Accountabilities
- Design and define the Operational Excellence Road Map
- Provide leadership, talent development, and succession planning for the Operations Excellence team including a focus on employee engagement and cross training for coverage
- Serve as change agent working collaboratively within and across departments, functions, and locations to help implement a culture of continuous improvement
- Provide thought leadership and influence change at all levels of the organization
- Manage Supply Chain improvement projects processes from initial concept through to final implementation in the areas of Kaizen & Lean-Six Sigma
- Develop costing models to compare current practices with alternatives and make recommendations for the future
- Support to the Operation Territory leaders to ensure consistency and delivery of any changed business or process resulting from project implementation
- Drive and share best practices through the creation and use of centralized communications forums and tracking tools. Proactively identify and promote sharing of learnings and best practices across regions.
- Facilitate Improvement Projects such as Kaizen, acting as an advisor to cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve complex problems in a compressed timeline, to identify, diagnose and address bottlenecks and inefficiencies.
- Manage tools, reports, and value add information to identify new initiative opportunities and overcome obstacles in achieving current targets.
- Define the best practices for Operations.
- Work cross-functionally (e.g. Engineering, HSE, Quality) to implement an optimized approach for production, cost and ROI.
- Identify barriers to implementation and develop and propose solutions that address both business needs and customer satisfaction
- Conduct analysis of business processes across the organization, identify gaps in the business process, determine its impact to the organization, and recommend action plans and timeline to address these issues

Bachelors - Engineering Mechanics
