The Fountains Hotels, on behalf of Indalo Hotels and Leisure is looking for designated porters to transport guests to and from the hotel and assist with their luggage upon arrival and departure. This includes but is not limited to, welcoming guests, providing information about the hotel and the surrounding, and ensuring a memorable stay.

The Porter/Driver is responsible for ensuring that guests receive excellent customer service by ensuring the hotel's vehicle is well-maintained, the lobby, entrance, and vehicle are kept clean and organized. They also are responsible for efficient room deliveries and prompt attendance or responses to special requests.

**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**

**FINANCIAL**:

- Mileage tracking and ensuring routes are adhered to
- Fuel costs monitored
- Ensuring non-complimentary transfers are captured/charged on the system.

**CUSTOMER SERVICE**:

- Scheduled transfers to be on time
- Meet and greet
- General knowledge of surrounding areas, location and major routes
- Booked transfers should be on time
- Luggage storage and delivery to the room
- Complete knowledge of the hotel layout and facilities
- Awareness of specialist facilities or services for disabled people

**PROCESSES**:

- Checking vehicle cleanliness and keeping track/record of service records
- Ensuring the vehicle is serviced
- Coordinate with Front Office
- Give directions
- Maintain standard of the front office
- Knowledge of hotel emergency procedures
- Awareness of safety policy procedures
- Aware of company policies and procedures
- Task prioritization

**PEOPLE**:

- Good oral communication
- People coordination
- Handover follow-up

**QUALIFICATIONS**

**Minimum**

Grade 12 or equivalent

Diploma in hospitality management (Ideal)

**EXPERIENCE**

Minimum 1 to 2 years of experience in Front Office/Concierge/Customer

1 year experience driving luxury vehicles and/or company vehicles

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: R5 380,00 - R6 000,00 per month
