The Visa Consulting Senior Manager will deliver consulting support and projects to VISA's key clients across CEMEA. The main objective of the role is to help deepen client relationships and optimize and grow client performance by helping them define and implement strategies focused on the aforementioned. The areas of specialization that reside within the Merchant Practice include, but are not limited to, the following client types: Acquirers, Payment Facilitators, Merchants, Fintechs, Governments, and Processors as well as other entities that fit under the umbrella of Emerging Payment Providers.

Principal Responsibilities/Key Results Area

1. Using VISA and external data to analyze client needs across the regional markets and identify opportunities for consulting assignments with VISA’s clients.
2. In coordination with regional VCA teams, MS&A, Country Managers, and Account Executives, develop plans for consulting activity to secure funds from partnership agreements to support Consulting projects where such agreements exist.
3. Support the development of project pitches and secure new Consulting assignments with clients, as well as re-engagement opportunities via a consultative sales approach in assigned markets under the guidance of the HUB lead and regional consulting leads.
4. Deliver Consulting projects. Resolve complex strategic problems. Synthesize and manage complex project structures when required. Manage, facilitate and implement consulting services and meet client's business targets (assignment objectives, project scope, budget, paperwork, external consultants' supervision, and project delivery). Work closely with other VISA groups, including Product, Marketing, Merchant Services, etc., to ensure a seamless Consulting experience.
5. Work on client site and/or virtually to design and project manage the implementation of marketing campaigns, value propositions, products, and services when required.
6. Work with practice area globally to incorporate best practices, source analytical or other services, and leverage global consulting solutions.
7. Build and maintain a repository of leading practices, new trends, business models, and case studies to ensure that relevant information is accessible and up to date.
8. Own the Merchant Service Line assets: Merchant Dashboard, Acquirer Lifecycle Management, Expert Models, etc., continually improving and increasing penetration of the same.

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Key Competencies

1. Bachelor's degree or equivalent. Master’s degree preferred.
2. Ideally 8-10 years in a top-tier consulting firm specialized in financial services.
3. Ideally have experience in the following areas: acquiring, merchant solutions, processing expertise, value proposition design, product development, and launch.
4. Strong facilitation skills.
5. Experience should be gained within a top-tier bank, acquirer, processor, and/or payment facilitator. A combination of regional and global experience strongly desired.
6. Expertise in acquiring, consulting skills, and client engagement capabilities. Advanced client contact and presentation skills. Credibility with clients and working teams and diplomatic skills to extract desired outcomes. Comfortable interacting with and presenting to senior management of clients and VISA.
7. Highly analytical with advanced PowerPoint and Excel skills.
8. Superior project management skills. Fluent communicator.
9. Must have financial acumen and commercial awareness skills.
10. Results-driven, flexible, and both internally and externally customer-focused.
11. Able to travel frequently and work on client site for extended periods across CEMEA.
12. Self-motivated and able to use own initiative with limited direction.
13. Strong teamwork and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively with inter-disciplinary groups.
14. Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment.
15. Fluency in English mandatory.
