Job Purpose: The Department of the Premier, Western Cape Government has an opportunity for a qualified and competent individual to manage and supervise staff who perform demand and logistics services.
Minimum Requirements:
1. An appropriate 3-year National Diploma/B-Degree (equivalent or higher qualification).
2. A minimum of 5 years relevant experience.
Recommendation:
1. A valid code B drivers' license.
2. LOGIS system certifications.
Key Performance Areas:
1. Manage and supervise staff who perform Demand Management and Logistics management.
2. Manage staff performance, motivate, train, and develop staff.
3. Conduct staff planning (recruitment, selection, leave management, etc.).
4. Monitor information capacity building.
5. Strategic Sourcing and Preferential Procurement / BEE.
6. Broad knowledge on procurement activities and best practices.
Knowledge and Skills Required:
1. Policy Development.
2. Financial norms and standards (PFMA, NTR's, PTI's).
3. Budgeting processes.
4. Proven Computer literacy.
5. Analytical and strategic thinking.
6. Excellent communication (written and verbal).
7. Outstanding planning, organizing, and people management.
Remuneration: R R per annum (Salary level 9)
Note on Remuneration: In addition, service benefits or obligations for qualifying employees (medical assistance, housing assistance, pension-fund contributions, etc.) are funded or co-funded in terms of the applicable prescripts or collective agreements.
