Job purpose: The Department of Cultural Affairs and Sport, Western Cape Government has an opportunity for a suitably qualified and competent individual to manage the knowledge resources related matters of the directorate.

Minimum requirements: Grade 12 (Senior Certificate or equivalent); A minimum of 6 years administration experience.

Recommendations: A valid (Code B or higher) driving licence. NB: People with disabilities that restrict driving abilities, but who have reasonable access to transport, may also apply.

Key performance areas:

  1. Contribute to the operational planning of the component by means of knowledge resources input;
  2. Implement relevant knowledge resources related aspects of the operational plan and achieving relevant objectives within the prescripts of the relevant regulations;
  3. Manage and maintain the relevant business planning processes;
  4. Ensure the directorate has effective knowledge resources management systems and processes in place;

Competencies:

  1. Contribute to the operational planning of the component by means of knowledge resources input;
  2. Implement relevant knowledge resources related aspects of the operational plan and achieving relevant objectives within the prescripts of the relevant regulations;
  3. Manage and maintain the relevant business planning processes;

Remuneration: R 308 154 - R 362 994 per annum (Salary level 7). Note on remuneration: in addition, service benefits or obligations for qualifying employees (medical assistance, housing assistance, pension-fund contributions, etc.) are funded or co-funded in terms of the applicable prescripts or collective agreements.
