Professional Architect

Overview

Hire Resolve is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Professional Architect on behalf of a reputable architectural firm in Mthatha. This is an exciting opportunity for a talented individual to contribute to high-impact projects within a collaborative and forward-thinking environment. The ideal candidate will bring strong project management abilities, in-depth knowledge of architectural contracts, and proficiency in essential design software. This role is best suited for a dedicated professional who values precision, teamwork, and proactive problem-solving in a dynamic, client-focused setting.

Responsibilities

- Oversee on-site project management and coordination.
- Ensure project compliance with contractual obligations, particularly JBCC and FIDIC standards.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders to meet project deadlines and requirements.
- Produce high-quality architectural designs and technical documentation using AutoCAD, Revit / BDS, and Lumion.
- Utilize Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and CorelDraw for project documentation and presentations.
- Communicate clearly and effectively with clients, contractors, and team members in both English and Xhosa.

Requirements

- Education: A Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch.) or equivalent is typically required for architects.
- Professional Registration: Valid SACAP Professional Registration.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of on-site experience and familiarity with building contracts (JBCC & FIDIC).
- Software Proficiency: Skilled in AutoCAD, Revit / BDS, Lumion, Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and CorelDraw.
- Language Skills: Fluency in English and Xhosa.
- Attention to Detail: Methodical and accurate, with a focus on quality and precision.
- Initiative: Able to take initiative and make decisions as required.
- Team Collaboration: Ability to work as part of a team and support project goals.
- Project Management: Strong understanding of site coordination, timelines, and building contracts.
