Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Head Chef in managing daily kitchen operations, ensuring the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and service.
- Supervise and mentor junior kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and professional team environment.
- Contribute to menu planning, development, and innovation, incorporating seasonal and locally sourced ingredients.
- Oversee food preparation and ensure consistency in quality and portioning.
- Maintain compliance with health, safety, and hygiene standards in the kitchen.
- Manage kitchen inventory, including ordering and stock control to minimize waste and optimize costs.
- Step into the Head Chef role as needed, ensuring seamless kitchen operations.
- Collaborate with other departments to deliver outstanding guest experiences.
Requirements:
- A relevant culinary qualification from a recognized institution.
- A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a Sous Chef or similar role, preferably in a luxury or 5-star establishment.
- Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, kitchen management, and food safety protocols.
- Exceptional leadership and organizational skills.
- Creativity and attention to detail in food presentation and menu design.
- Ability to work under pressure and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
