We have a global footprint, with offices in London, Manchester, Bristol, Birmingham, Manila, Atlanta and Cape Town. This role is based in Cape Town.

This is an amazing opportunity for a talented and driven investment professional. You'll be CA qualified, with 2 – 4 years’ post-qualification experience. You will have a genuine interest in early-stage business and will get a kick out of looking for the diamond in the rough.

We offer a range of loan-type products that support the growth of SMEs in the UK and US. You will join our team of deal execution experts in SA to pair with deal-originators in the UK and US. Once we find a solid opportunity, our Debt Structuring Analysts work to support our Debt Structuring Managers to take deals through to credit. We have a range of products, so you will learn to work with a range of risk factors. You'll scrutinize potential portfolio companies and help to prepare detailed, impactful credit papers. Conducting deep financial analysis, you'll communicate findings to your colleagues with clarity and consistency. You'll manage more than one deal at a time, working across a wide range of industries.

This role stands out from many that are similar. Our sales team relies on our deal execution team to interrogate every deal, as if they were investing their own money. We invest with great integrity, so your work is never a "rubber stamping" exercise. You will gain invaluable knowledge and experience in looking at deals from all sides and soon become an expert in SME funding.

Requirements

CA qualified, with 2 – 4 years’ post-qualification experience

Strong analytical skills and proficiency in financial modeling.

Familiarity with credit and investment analysis.

Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

A keen interest in SME funding and finance.
