The Role

We're looking for a Senior Scoring Analyst to join our model building team, responsible for building logistic regression and machine learning models, combining bureau models with client-specific models. Key responsibilities include:

  • Preparing complex data for model building
  • Building models in Paragon Modeller/SAS and Python
  • Presenting models to stakeholders

Key Tasks

  • Predominantly build scorecard models, such as probability-to-default (PD) models
  • Test bureau models on different portfolios
  • Calibrate models to recent populations, bad definitions, and/or portfolios
  • Validate internal and external models
  • Review existing modelling processes to optimize current model building processes and ensure quality control measures are in place
  • Align the team's objectives with Experian's model building strategy
  • Ensure quality and accuracy of your work and others on specific projects
  • Analyze results from monitoring packs to identify trends
  • Upskill junior team members in technical skills and modelling interpretation
  • Maintain process and product documentation for internal and external stakeholders
  • Participate in sales enablement for new analytics products, specifically models
  • Support client meetings for pre-sales and post-sales discussions related to analytics data products
  • Stay updated on legislation and regulation affecting Experian's analytical solutions
Requirements
  • Degree or equivalent standard with high mathematical content, e.g., Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Business Mathematics and Informatics, Engineering, Actuarial Science, Scoring Specialist, or Data Science
