Job Title: Port Facility Security Manager

At Bidvest Protea Coin, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Port Facility Security Manager to join our team. As a key member of our security team, you will be responsible for ensuring the security and safety of our port facility and its operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement and exercise the Port Facility Security Plan to ensure the security and safety of the port facility and its operations.
  • Conduct regular security inspections to identify and mitigate potential security risks.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with ship security officers and other stakeholders to ensure effective security cooperation.
  • Ensure compliance with the International Ship and Port Facility Security Code (ISPS Code) and other relevant regulations.
  • Manage and maintain security equipment and systems to ensure they are properly operated, tested, calibrated, and maintained.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of contingency plans to respond to security incidents.
  • Conduct investigations into security incidents and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure effective security and safety practices are in place.
Requirements:
  • PSIRA registration and Grade A certification.
  • Experience in port facility security management or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of the ISPS Code and other relevant regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
