Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Retail Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our stores. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our retail business, including managing budgets, quality, and sales targets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maximise profit centres, including new goods, second-hand, and SSB.
  • Improve store performance and ensure effective implementation of merchandising standards.
  • Manage sales vs budgets and monitor returns and discounts given.
  • Pro-actively coordinate availability of stock for stores and monitor and control stock age.
  • Organise and participate in monthly stocktakes and results.
  • Monitor and control damage and repair stock for the business.
  • Manage company assets, including building, fixtures, and fittings, petty cash, stock, and vehicles.
  • Manage the change of management and monitor and ensure all security standards are adhered to within a store.
  • Review store performance by analysing stats and reports and partner development and mentoring.
  • Analyse expenses impacting on profitability and analyse financial statements to ensure profitability.
  • Reporting and ensuring customer expectations are met.
  • Review mystery shopper reports and reinforce a culture of service-minded staff to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure repair turnaround and ensure social media posts are according to standards.
  • Ensure correct staff compliment in business and facilitate the training and development of employees to ensure correct competency.
  • Succession planning and ensure consistent, effective performance management.
  • Manage and enhance employee relations and satisfaction and manage human resources administration.
  • Remuneration and reward and ensure that all stores have implemented and adhere to all relevant company policies, procedures, system requirements, and SOPs.
  • Meetings and report back.

Requirements:

  • At least 3 years' experience in a senior management role.
  • Innovative and ambitious with a can-do attitude.
  • Strong IT skills, including PowerPoint, MI, Excel.
  • Good presentation skills and be well-organised.
  • Good communication and relationship-building skills and possess great leadership skills.
  • Reliable vehicle and willing to travel.
  • Pass a polygraph.
